I submitted all my application forms for a year long Working Holiday Visa to the Japanese Embassy and had to wait a week until the before I could go back to see whether I had been granted the Visa.
It was the most nerve racking and emotional week whilst waiting- it made me realise just how much I want to go and spend a year in the most amazing place I've ever been.
The visa application was easy enough to do but it did take some time and planning to be able to do the 'reason for applying' and the 'proposed itinerary' however you want to have some sort of a plan before heading halfway across the world!
The main idea of the blog is going to be my way of keeping everyone at home in touch and up to date with my adventures.
With 98 days to go until I leave for Okinawa (and the excitement starting to build!), I thought I'd start here and update with my preparations ready for what should be the best year of my life.
