Camping - part 2

So we leave the stone forest and go to a nearby beach... It was beatiful. 

We had lunch at a cafe right next to the beach. 

This is the view from the cafe window- stunning!

Then James and I grab a blanket and head down to the beach. It's about 2.30 now and we've been up since before 7 getting ready etc. most definitely nap time. 

It was perfect- beautiful beach and nice weather. 

Then we head to the camp site- Hisano and the children decide to sleep in the caravan and James, shun and I will be sleeping in the tent on the beach. 

First thing we do is make the fire! 

Then we get the kayak down off the roof and decide to have a quick swim in the sea before it gets dark. 

This is where we are now... 

Then we change and go back up to the campsite where we have a BBQ and some fabulous hot milk, baileys and Kaluha! 

James took his down to the beach and decided to toast his feet. 

Pretty cool way to spend a Saturday night, if you ask me! 

So, we go to sleep and about a hour in, it starts to rain- that's fine because we're all tucked up in the tent in sleeping bags and jumpers. 

However, it just carries on all night... So much so, that our plans are ruined the next day- the weather is nt good at all! 

Kari is also feeling unwell, so we decided to head back to Naha. 

This wasn't ideal but it was fun and it also means we just need to go again to do the things we didn't do. 

Next time- eating at kangaroo burger- kayak in the mangroves and explore higashi village!
